The next time you reserve an evening for a pampering session and a Netflix binge, add this clay mask to your routine. And if you're stuck for a new series to watch I have five words; Orange is the New Black.

This the only cleansing mask that Vichy produce, and it's from the Normaderm range which is specifically formulated for acne-prone skin. It's actually a multitasking product that can be used as a mask, cleanser and exfoliant, and although it doesn't clearly state on the front of the tube that it contains clay, it does mention it in the description on the reverse. This product is an absolute miracle-worker in the midst of an angry breakout. I know, I know, exfoliators generally aren't recommended for skin that's feeling a bit fragile or sensitised due to blemishes but somehow this manages to be gentle, yet effective and doesn't totally strip my skin of oil. The creamy gel has a refreshing, cooling effect on my skin, which helps so much with redness and inflammation and the clay draws out any impurities lurking under the surface of my skin. I generally use it as a cleansing-scrub type deal and afterwards, I feel like one of those cartoons after they wash themselves and then little stars pop up around them- squeaky clean and fresh.

As a mask this works great too because the clay has a chance to really dig down into your pores and allows for a much deeper cleanse. It has the perfect thick, fast-drying consistency, but, as with many masks it does tend to wash up around the jawline and eye sockets. I can't be the only one who spots remnants of face masks I thought I'd washed off three hours ago lingering about near my hairline !?

I would definitely recommend this if you do persistently get spots or suffer from acne, it's one of the best masks I've ever used and hands down my favourite clay mask! Have any of you guys tried it? You can buy Vichy Normaderm Tri-Active 3-in-1 Cleanser, Scrub & Mask  HERE for 11.50 GBP.

That being said, hopefully I won't be having to use this as often now that I've been prescribed roacctuane! I'm currently on my fourth day of taking it, and am hoping to write a blog post about the whole experience and the results, if there are any. Let me know if you're interested in hearing about it, it was actually a very unnerving appointment with a slightly unhinged dermatologist, who prescribed it to me in a not entirely ethical way, so I'm hoping I'll never have to go back to see him again. Looking back, though, I suppose it was quite funny. Expect a full post soon!
