I feel like my mind and my body are so pumped for the arrival of Summer here in South West France, but my skin is not quite there yet. My acne is really flaring up, and unsightly blemishes, shockingly, don't couple very well with all the BB / CC/ DD creams I'm desperate to start wearing.

However, I'm willing to make an exception for Dr. Jart's REGENERATING BEAUTY BALM which packs just slightly more coverage than your average BB and has a formula which places a lot of emphasis on nourishing and repairing. Its a true foundation / skincare hybrid, combined with SPF so I'll no doubt be wearing it throughout Summer. At first I wasn't in love with the slightly greasy finish it left, but after ten minutes or so it eases up and my complexion appears brighter and evened out and ever so subtly concealed.

It finds a match made in heaven with MUA HIGHLIGHTING POWDER IN GOLD. Although the current highlighting trend veers more towards silvery-white iridescence, I think this white-gold tone is much more flattering and natural. Brushed very delicately onto the high points of my face this powder compliments the dewiness of the BB beautifully and its fairly high-pigmented so a little goes a long way.  I feel so confident wearing these two together, its a very fresh, glowy everyday look that I'm obsessing over at the moment.

Have you tried any of the Dr. Jart BB Creams? I really want to try out some of the other products in the range as I was so impressed with this one. ALSO I'm super excited to tell you that I've FINALLY got an appointment with a dermatologist booked for this Saturday *sassy girl hand flip emoji* and I'm SO excited. Lots of caps lock used in that sentence to really convey how buzzing I am. If you have any acne experiences or advice for my appointment with the dermatologist please let me know in the comments! I have no idea what to expect or what he/she will prescribe me but hopefully this might be the end of all my acne woes.. wouldn't that be AAAH-MAZING!? Hope you all have a wonderful, lazy Sunday.

  1. I never tried this out but I love that it has a bit more coverage!

  2. I'd love to hear how your appointment goes as I'm at the point where I know I need to go to the doctors. Does the BB cream offer enough coverage for blemishes? I'm looking for something light enough for summer but still hides my imperfections

  3. Yea the coverage is excellent for a BB, it does a really good job covering existing spots and acne scarring (both of which i have A LOT of) but sometimes I do use a few drops of Collection's Lasting Perfection concealer just to add a little oomph. Thankyou so much for taking the time to read my post! I'll follow you on Bloglovin and Twitter etc so hopefully I can keep you updated :) xx

  4. I'd love to hear how your appointment goes, my skin just gets me down and my doctor refuses to contact a dermatologist because he believes he knows why my skin just reacts all the time, so I just simply stopped going to him! I've always wanted to try the Dr Jart BB cream, it sounds amazing!

  6. That sounds so annoying, I'm in france atm and they're much keener on skincare here so Im hoping they'll take it more seriously. My skin makes me sad too but honestly other people don't notice it as much as you do, chin up chick x

  7. That highlighting powder sounds amazing :)
